The Scout Federation Explorers of Murcia will hold a meeting this weekend in the municipality, known in the scout field as 'indaba'.
This was announced by the president of the aforementioned Federation, Daniel López, his second vice president, Antonio García, and the Councilors for Youth and Tourism, Silvia García and Raquel Raja, who accompanied the 'scouters' (name for those responsible for a scout group) during this first contact with Mazarrón.
Those responsible explained that "during the 'indaba', the 'scouters' exchanged opinions between us, we talked about important issues for us such as bullying or sustainable camps and, apart from this, a training part is also carried out that this year will have a day of coaching to get more out of the work done by the monitors. "
Leisure will also have a place in the meeting and, in that sense, Mazarrón will have special prominence with its nautical activities, diving and beach sports.
But Scout Federation Scouts of Murcia has not only chosen Mazarrón for its leisure opportunities, but also for offering "tourism activities for those who do not want to do water activities, such as knowing the mines. Hence we choose Mazarrón because it has it In fact, the forecasts we had, from 60 - 70 'scouters' at the beginning, have been overwhelmed and we have more than 152 participants, which will mean a very important meeting, "said García.
In addition, the Scout Federation of Explorers of Murcia is in contact with various companies in the municipality so that groups of scouts can carry out activities here.
Something for which they have obtained the full support of the City Council of Mazarrón through the departments of Youth and Tourism.
The mayor of Youth, Silvia García, wished that "in one or two years we also have a scout group in Mazarrón" for which she obtained the commitment and support of the aforementioned Federation.
