The exhibition hall of La Casa del Mar, located on La Torre street next to the fishing pier in Puerto de Mazarrón, hosts until September 1 the exhibition entitled 'Aqua' by the Murcian artist Carlos Montero.
The Councilor for Culture, Ginés Campillo, and the artist himself were responsible for inaugurating the exhibition that was attended by a large number of audiences, among which was the Councilor for Services Tomás Ureña.
As Montero explained, the exhibition "consists of a series of oils whose peculiarity is that all are related to water, from that of the coves of Mazarrón to urban rainy landscapes of European cities such as Madrid, Murcia or Paris."
The artist added that "it is difficult to make a good picture, the techniques in the end what you have to achieve is to control them. Some think that watercolors are simpler, but the important thing is to create a good work."
The Councilor for Culture, Ginés Campillo, praised the artist's technique and stressed that "the guiding thread of this exhibition, the water that is present in places such as the stone mazarronera beach of Piedra Mala, cannot have a better place in a place like in the that we are. So close to the sea. "
The mayor recalled that "water is the beginning of life" and "in these works we see it alive as in the picture of the cathedral of Murcia that I think, like the rest of the exhibition, magnificent."
The sample can be visited on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6 pm to 10 pm and on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 1 pm in the morning and from 6 pm to 11 pm in the afternoon.
On Thursday, August 15, while still a holiday, the room will open but with reduced hours from 10 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon so that tourists and visitors can approach to enjoy this exhibition.
