The Civil Guard investigates a neighbor of Mazarrón as an alleged crime simulation author (08/04/2019)

The vehicle of his property, whose keys were supposedly stolen from his home, was found in a municipal warehouse with no signs of force

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation to clarify the theft committed in a house in the municipality of Mazarrón, which has been settled with the investigation of proceedings as investigated the complainant as an alleged author of crime simulation.

The Benemérita began the investigation last March, after a neighbor of the municipality of Mazarrón denounced that when she was sleeping at home, someone had accessed the house and stolen a vehicle, a television and a mobile phone.

In her testimony she reported that, supposedly, she was numbed with some type of substance since she could not perceive the presence of people in the property.

The investigators made the corresponding ocular inspection in the house and began the search, among others, of the vehicle that, apparently, had been stolen with stolen keys in the home.

These inquiries were positive with the discovery of tourism in a municipal deposit, which had arrived after having been removed by the crane service because it was badly parked on a perfectly closed sidewalk.

In addition, investigators found the keys of the allegedly stolen vehicle in the complainant's property.

The clear contradictions between the victim's statement and the result of the investigation made it suspect that the theft had not occurred.

Recently, the Civil Guard has instructed the complainant as an alleged perpetrator of a crime simulation crime.

The investigated person, the recovered effects and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Totana (Murcia).

The Civil Guard informs citizens of the criminal responsibility involved in reporting criminal acts that have never been committed, as well as the harm caused by the deportation of police officers to investigate false crimes that, in addition, usually generate great social alarm among the population, mainly when robberies are reported with violence.

The Criminal Code, in its article 457, establishes that, before any judicial or administrative officer who has the duty to investigate, pretend to be responsible or victim of a violation or denounce a non-existent, provoking procedural actions, will be punished with a fine six to twelve months.
