Alicia Jiménez, Mayor of Mazarrón, has announced the upcoming execution by the Ministry of Public Works of improvement in the vicinity of the beach of Alamillo, in Mazarrón, with a budget of almost 140,000 euros.
The mayor has given account of the project after the meeting of the Government Council held on Tuesday in Town Hall.
It is, on the one hand, the contracting of works to improve and expand the services of the regional highway RM-332, which connects Cartagena with Mazarrón, on its way through the Alamillo beach.
The works, quantified at 48,373 euros, will be developed on a route of 487 meters of this road through the signaling of a bike lane and the creation of a pedestrian zone and a parking area in the margin closest to the beach.
This action aims to improve the accessibility of the area, following the modification of the regional road layout and the creation of a bike path and a sidewalk in the space released on the other side of the road.
On the other hand, it has been reported the construction project of a daily access ramp to boats in the north end of the Alamillo beach, to facilitate users the operation of launching their boats of small length, so that they can have them saved on land and take them out to navigate with ease when they wish.
The objective is to regularize an activity that is taking place at present, and to order it by separating the uses for greater security, also allowing the fight against the anchoring of irregular boats on the coast.
The approximate investment of this action is 90,000 euros.
