The book by Joaquín Ruiz García, edited by the City of Mazarrón that explores the history of the eighteenth-century Mazarron surnames is now available on the Dialnet portal through the link:

Under the title 'Marriages and Surnames.
Biography of Mazarrón in the seventeenth century, the author analyzes the local society through marriage links that occurred at a time not very studied in local history, since most of the similar studies are focused on the century XIX, coinciding with the mining splendor.
The book was presented in Casas Consistoriales on August 9.
Pedro Martinez, Councilor for Culture, highlighted during the presentation "the valuable contribution that a rigorous and innovative work that deepens in an important time for the further development of the municipality."
The presentation was attended by the Official Cronista of Villa Mariano Guillén.
