Alcolea Marina Lopez, winner of the 'Short Story Contest II: Women's Lives' (11/05/2010)

This morning, the Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos, handed the award to Marina Alcolea Lopez, winner of the second edition of 'Short Story Competition: Women's Lives. "

The event, which was attended by the Director of Secondary School Hellín Antonio, Carlos Corvalan, where he studied the young, has also been supported by his father, his teachers and peers.

The student, who is 17 and lives in Puerto de Mazarrón, has been honored for her work entitled 'Yes, I am a woman' which tells the story of some friends whose lives, jobs and aspirations different situations experienced that comment, which reflect situations of inequality and discrimination.

The girl has been awarded a mini laptop with which you can further develop his literary.

The aim of the 'Short Story Contest Women's Lives' is to sensitize the youth and other citizens about situations of inequality and discrimination faced by women in the workplace and promoting a critical attitude towards them.

This contest is part of the program of activities on equal opportunities, organized by the Department of Women's Hall of Mazarrón and subsidized by the Institute for Women in the Region of Murcia.
