The art therapy, new incentive for students of occupational center (07/04/2010)

Mazarrón Occupational Center is conducting a workshop on Creative Expression and Art Therapy with school pupils, through Practice School Psychology at the University of Murcia, which is included in a partnership for training from the Master of Art Therapy takes place in the university.

This workshop, taught by Lola Navarro Mazarron, born from the merger of two disciplines such as psychology and art.

Creative expression facilitates the communication process by not relying mainly on verbal communication, but it is accompanied by the symbolic expression.

In art therapy is essentially the experience of the process of creation, beyond the completion of the project, facilitating a process of introspective argument that creative process.

The work in art therapy strives to provide the person will develop and find new images to internal processes that make you suffer, or that generate conflict, thus working from the expression, since the projection from creativity, but with a guidance to provide the person a personal growth and improved self-esteem.

A key issue is the dialogue with the work during the creation process and pay special attention to the ways and styles that make the works.

Looking for art therapy, using different techniques and different approaches to encourage people to work with feelings and emotions in an artistic or creative, covering disciplines such as painting, sculpture, drawing, music or theater.

The art tools will be a language among those attending the workshop and the art therapist who will work together to decode the subsequent message inherent in the symbols which the person is representing.
