The City Council resumed work on the street Boquera (07/07/2009)

The Department of Infrastructure of the City of Mazarrón has resumed construction of installing a new drainage system for rainwater that began in the Avenue of the Mulberry.

This second phase extends from the Glorieta del Minero Boquera whole street up to Pilar Street, at the intersection with St. Ursula and Twirl streets, so that from this morning and in the coming months, the street Boquera up its intersection with San Carlos Street will be closed to vehicular traffic, and the rest of the street Boquera have restricted its traffic only to residents.

For the development of this action, the Town Hall, through the Department of Public Safety has established two alternative routes: one between the streets windlass, Canalejas, Birch, avenue des Acacias and way of Encinas and forth between Ana Moreno streets, San Antonio, Cuesta Carrión, and street Monche Lorca Ríos, the latter path will border the castle to reach the district of Canada.

This action, which will take several months, requires public understanding, and its main objective the common good of all Mazarron and passersby.

The Department of Infrastructure of the City of Mazarrón has willed that these works served, plus the installation of a new rain collector length of 1,244 feet to avoid flooding during rainy seasons, for the renewal of the sewer and water drinking.

The resumption of these works in a time of year as the summer has the benefit of the reduction of traffic by school holidays and many families moving into place Mazarron summer residence.
