The College of Public Works Engineers celebrates its patron in Mazarrón (15/05/2009)

The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor of Culture, Alicia Jiménez, this morning received a visit from the College of Engineers of Public Works in Murcia Mazarrón town hall, led by its President, Manuel Camacho.

Professionals in this sector have chosen the town of Mazarrón to establish a day of coexistence between the College of Public Works Engineers on the occasion of Onomastics in the day of its patron saint Santo Domingo de la Calzada.

The area of the town hall has been, without the ideal scenario because engineers have repaired all the details about this property, recently renovated and restored over a year.

During the ceremony, Francisco Blaya has expressed his satisfaction at having at Mazarrón the College of Public Works Engineers of the Region of Murcia, who also congratulated for their work, which provided security premium and innovation.

At the end of the ceremony, Blaya has given him the statuette Camacho Phoenician ship, the oldest jewel of the municipality, with which the municipality expects to be remembered in this school.

For his part, President of the College of Public Works Engineers of Murcia has feted the mayor with a plaque commemorating the visit and the silver badge of the College.

Throughout the day, the delegation will visit the town to see its benefits and its rich natural heritage: the 35 miles of coastline, of which 10 of them belong to unspoilt coastline, the Bolnuevo Erosions, First Monument of the Region of Murcia , Gravera Lagoons, the Sierra de las Moreras and its rich artistic and cultural heritage.
