The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, accompanied by the Municipal Corporation has presided over the ceremony commemorating the International Day Against Violence Against Women in the Town Hall.
The neighbors, associations and groups of municipalities have also participated in this celebration, especially members of the Center for Occupational Workshop, who have made bookmark with the emblem of this day.
Blaya, who has urged the union of citizens to promote equality and combat mistreatment of women, has expressed his revulsion at this scourge of society and then proceeded to read the Manifesto on the occasion of International Day Gender Violence.
After finishing the reading, the Mayor has signed the guest book to show her disapproval of this problem and has encouraged other citizens to do likewise.
The commemoration of the 'International Day Against Gender Violence' continues this afternoon with a trip to Murcia to participate in activities organized by the Institute for Women in the Region of Murcia.
The Town Council of Mazarron, through the Department of Social Policy, has enabled free shuttle buses will depart at 16:00 pm
from the bus station of Puerto de Mazarrón and 16:15 h.

Days Against Gender Violence began on November 10 and will run until next Sunday, November 30, during the March Mountain Bike, organized by the departments of Social Policy and Sports City.
For more than twenty days there are a wide range of activities such as equality courses, theatrical performances and workshops, open to citizen participation.
