Over two hundred people involved in the "European Heritage Days" in Mazarrón (22/10/2008)

This weekend the town of Mazarrón has been the scene in which they have developed the 'European Heritage Days 2008', who have addressed primary topic of 'industrial landscape', so that guided tours have passed through areas industrial area.

The routes have been attended by more than two hundred people, from Murcia, who attracted by the rich natural and archaeological heritage by the municipality, have come to enjoy this spectacular scenery.

The experience that has connected people with cultural heritage, has enabled the approach to the corner that hides the industrial landscape of the region in a unique setting as Mazarrón.

This conference, aimed at people interested in the cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia, have met the expectations of the people involved, both the regulars and new ones are ready to repeat.

The 'European Heritage Days' have passed by the Roman Court of Mazarrón (open pit quarry where they mined lead and silver in the second century BC), the Oak Laundry (nineteenth and twentieth century), the remains of Alum Factory (with activity from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century), the mine's Mazarrón (early twentieth century) and the ore dock to the beach of the dead.
