Healthy breakfasts inaugurate the calendar of events of the week I for the life of the AECC (15/10/2015)

The local board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer program until October 25 workshops, lectures, talks in schools and a solidarity march to involve Mazarron in the fight against the disease

Children five years of CEIP Manuela Romero de Mazarron have been the first to participate healthy breakfasts organized by the local board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) framed within the events planned to mark the First Week Life by the collaboration of the City of Mazarrón.

Accompanied by their teachers and under the watchful eye of the director of the center, Mayte Donato, children have taken a based on the Mediterranean diet consisting of orange juice, bread with olive oil, fruit and yogurt breakfast.

The Councillor for Health and Social Policy, Laura Ortiz, emphasized the importance of instilling from early ages to acquire healthy eating habits.

After breakfast was held a briefing by the municipal coach Jose Manuel Fernandez.

AECC volunteers are actively involved in the organization of healthy breakfasts that will take place in ten schools in the municipality, as indicated by Luisa Heredia, president of the local board.

The First Week for Life extends from 15 to 25 October and also healthy breakfasts, includes lectures and workshops therapeutic nutrition and relaxation to develop a whole at the Cultural Center of Mazarrón.

They have confirmed their attendance professor of medicine and chief of endocrinology at the Arrixaca, Francisco Javier Tebar and the head of internal medicine at Hospital Morales Meseguer, Faustino Herrero.

The latter advised for three mornings, the youth of the municipality on what are the best habits that can lead to try to ensure a healthy life.

The social worker Marina Costa, the therapist and psychologist Peidro German hospital St. Lucia Angeles Carrasco, will be other three speakers who will participate in this First Week for Life culminating in a solidarity march through the city center of Mazarrón Sunday October 25.

Its organizers have encouraged Mazarron family to participate in this event which aims to "green stain the streets of Mazarrón" as mentioned Luisa Heredia who has said that participation in this march will have a solidarity contribution of 5 euros.

Another event added to this First Week for Life is the photo exhibition "Time" Norberto Vivancos.

The economic amount collected the photographs will go to the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
