The campaign "I, Europe" check Mazarrón (11/04/2014)

This morning visited Mazarrón mobile classroom 'Yo, European citizens' showing citizens what it means to be a citizen of the EU to strengthen the sense of belonging of European citizens in a common European future campaign and the future of the European Union in response to the challenges and common interests.

With this mobile classroom, located in the Town Hall Square, has also reached the Director General of EU and External Relations of the CARM, Carmen Sandoval.

Sandoval has been received at City Hall by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo.

Both have talked about this initiative and how important it is for citizens to know the European institutions since, as explained Sandoval own, "the campaign 'I, 2014 European citizen' is created with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of Parliament European, decisions are made at this institution and its impact on our daily lives. "

Visit the Mobile Classroom is complete with a talk at the Center for Municipal Employment Initiatives (CIME).

Councillor delegate Statistics, Matilde Blázquez, explained that "these talks are aimed especially at young people from schools in Mazarrón, so they know their rights as European citizens."

The talks have been given by Teresa Allupez the 'Europe Direct Murcia'.

This information initiative, promoted by the Ministry of the Presidency, through the Directorate General of the European Union and Foreign Affairs;

coincide with the holding of elections to the European Parliament and in addition to addressing the general public, is intended to inspire a sense of active citizenship among young people and get increase their participation in shaping the European Union's future.
