This Thursday October 24th is celebrated worldwide on 'Library Day' and municipal libraries Puerto Mazarron and join this celebration with various activities.
Specifically, from 17:30 in the Library 'Gómez Jordana', located on the second floor of the Centro Cultural de Mazarrón, as in Puerto de Mazarrón library, located on Avenida Costa Calida, is going to take out for the little ones a storyteller, read the proclamation of the 'Day of the Library' and crafts workshop.
Since 1997 every October 24 marks the 'Day of the Library'.
This initiative came from the Spanish Association of Friends of Children and Youth to move the public the importance of the library as a meeting place for readers to culture and as a means of improving training and human coexistence.

This publishes a commemorative poster that is distributed by all libraries in Spain.
This time the poster has been designed by renowned illustrator and cartoonist Andrés Rabago "The Broken" and the accompanying text is the work of writer Laura Gallego.

Councillor for Culture of the City of Mazarrón, Maria Celeste Soria, explained that "although from the council we have our own annual program to promote reading among children and youth, we also celebrate this day in order to bring the culture to Mazarrón citizens who can attend these activities we offer completely free.
