Thousands of people enjoyed the parade this past Saturday Summer Carnival for the first time has been carried out with great success.
18 troupes, 8 local and 10 foreign, toured Puerto de Mazarrón from Rihuete walk to Dock Square.
A journey in which the very numerous people gathered for the occasion appreciated the commitment of the Department of Celebrations Mazarrón Town Hall to boost tourism being promoted from the consistory.
In regards to the awards Summer Carnival, the carnival Mazarron "Salsalá" took first prize endowed with 1,200 euros parade.
In second place was the troupe "Samana" Mula, which took the second prize 900 euros.
Third, and a cash prize of 600 euros, was awarded the troupe "Antares" Cartagena that for the first time, marched with great skill in the municipality.
Finally, the fourth prize stayed in Mazarrón, since the 300 euros of it ended up in the troupe "Percheles Beaches".
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, accompanied by the councilors Isidro Coy, Andrew James and Magdalena Mendez, were responsible for presenting the awards to the award-winning troupes.
The mayor thanked "the participation of all the groups, both within and outside the municipality, as with your presence have created a fantastic parade full of joy and color."
The event ended with a party full of good music by the mobile disco "Pyramid" on the boardwalk.
Also, the beach of Puerto hosted on a fantastic Friday night concert organized by the City and "Cadena Dial" brought to the coastal town Vanessa Martin, Kiko and the band Gaviño Murcia "Props".
This time also were thousands of people who came to the place to enjoy performances of these artists, who displayed all his art on stage.
It was, without doubt, a complete weekend where locals and tourists have enjoyed greatly the activities planned by the council.
