The members of the Center for Persons with Disabilities Day equine practice (10/06/2013)

On Tuesday May 28, the Center for Disability Day had the opportunity to attend various activities on the premises of "stud Tudela Espin" in an Equine program, a comprehensive therapy professionals employed by physical or mind to promote rehabilitation of children, adolescents and adults at neuromuscular, psychological, cognitive and social by the horse as a therapeutic tool and adjuvant.

The center members enjoyed themselves the necessities of horse care as well as a familiarity with animals of this size.

A group of instructors they explained the parts of the horse, and the vocabulary used to them, participants also taking the opportunity to see how the animals responded.

Also conducted various "human circuit" where the horse went, taking center members the opportunity to touch and pet.

Controlled by two instructors and one physiotherapist, bravest members rode enjoying unforgettable.

The difficulties that disabled people have less so over the horse, for those who can not leave well were compensated move enough to maintain balance, lying down on the animal's back and extending his head in his mane.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, stressed that "the primary objective of this horse-assisted therapy is to promote the integration of people with disabilities and improve their quality of life through interaction with these animals. Mazarrón Town Council gives thank all who helped to make this activity has come true, especially the "Stud Espín Tudela" Equestrian Association and "The Giant".
