During the 8, 9 and May 10 was held in the waters of Portugal XXI Fishing World Championship League Clubs category in the form of sea-coast, and in which the team participated Lucia Yacht Club Cartagena.
One member of this team was the partner of the Fishing Club Puerto de Mazarrón José Carlos Saugar, who along with his colleagues got the title of world champions.

Also, the Fishing Club of Puerto de Mazarrón scored another major success when last April the Mazarron Tomasa Patricia Costa got the gold medal for selections with the selection of Murcia, which he represented in the Championship of Spain's Fisheries Women held from 19 to 21 April in waters of the Principality of Asturias, specifically in the beach of "The Losses".
