Mazarrón adds to the regional fight against irregular economy (07/05/2013)

Mazarrón Town Council has signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia (CARM) to fight the shadow economy.

Yesterday the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, Murcia attended the presentation ceremony of the municipalities that have signed the agreement.

This event was chaired by the director of the area, Sotoca Constantine, who thanked the collaboration of the consistory involved in the project.

Next to Mazarrón, have joined this initiative Cieza municipalities, San Javier, Jumilla and Alhama de Murcia.

These protocols open new avenues of communication and information that are relevant for any activity not declared with mood defraudatorio.

Sotoca stressed that the aim is "to analyze the work already being done by local authorities to a new purpose which is to detect unrecognized activities".

Specifically, the Minister referred to evidence of underground activity through works inspection services detected by urban, discovered properties not included in the land, waste production related business or economic activities detected by street cleaning, complaints noisy or annoying activities, professional activities undeclared discovered by local police or the data on water consumption.

All information collected will be forwarded to the Inspectorate of Labour and Social Security who shall cross the data held by the General Treasury of Social Security, and identify those undeclared activities.

For the exchange of this information have been created joint monitoring committees between counseling and the local councils.

The counselor forward some data collected so far but said that "there is all the data, since they are not yet configured each committee".

So far identifying data have been collected 1,440 statements relating to Real and Personal Property Taxes affecting economic activities.

They have also collected data on 953 records garbage collection in properties with economic activity and identifying details of 431 business licenses.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, who spoke after the Minister said that "the City of Mazarrón has joined this pioneering initiative because we believe that it is a useful and effective tool. Not only because its main objective is to fight as irregular economy, but also because we can exchange information between the different administrations. thing that will improve the joint work we undertake at all times. The mayor wanted to add that "we join this regional government work, but also local initiatives we undertake important for the economy and the implementation of local nursery businesses."
