Gomar and Damlaimcourt are imposed at the 24th national triathlon "Villa de Fuente Ãlamo" (29/04/2013)

Last Saturday was held the 24th National Triathlon "Villa de Fuente Alamo" whose departure took place, as usual, from the beach in Puerto de Mazarrón Rihuete.

Responsible for giving the output honk different categories were the Mayor of Fuente Álamo, María Antonia Conesa, the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, Sports councilors from both municipalities, Juan Fulgencio Lopez and Andrew James, and the mayor of Tourism Mazarrón, Maria Celeste Soria.

Jesus Gomar won, for the third year, stand as champion of the Games, while in females also failed the favorite, Marina Damlaimcourt, London 2012 Olympic triathlete.

A total of 750 athletes participated in the traditional test.

Gomar Jesus accompanied him on the podium Oscar Vicente, World Champion and European Junior in 2008, and Vicente Hernández, European champion and one of the promises of the sport.

With Damlaimcourt, Tamara Gomez shared glory, and second-placed champions Spain in categories U23 elite duathlon in 2012, and Miriam Casillas, Spain champion elite sprint triathlon in 2012.

More than 200 volunteers, among whom were the members of "Mazarrón Red Cross" and the Municipal Emergency Services and Civil Protection of our town, made it possible for the event to develop without incident.

The weather conditions accompanied the triathletes in departure from the Rihuete but, once started the bike race, the rain came that ended in a great flood.

Luckily there was no sharp drop regrets.
