Ana Cristina Herreros opens tomorrow Thursday 18 cultural week "Book Day" (17/04/2013)

This Thursday 18 starts in Mazarrón Cultural Week scheduled from the Department of Culture of the City of Mazarrón to mark the "Day Book".

Responsible for giving the go-ahead to this schedule will be the mayor of Culture, Maria Celeste Soria, and writer Ana Cristina Herreros, who participate in a literary meeting in Puerto de Mazarrón library from 18 pm to all those who wish to come to know this expert storyteller.

Ana Griotte, nickname that literally this author is known, also share that day a meeting with college students @ s concerted "XXI Century".

Throughout the morning, the writer will speak to the students of that center of his book "Tales of the Mediterranean".

And it will do on stage that students @ s have been specially prepared for the occasion, recreating the sea using recycled materials.

Ana Griotte have several National Awards to the Best Book edited and some of his works have also been translated into Catalan and French.

Also, within this program, the workshop will also be held "We played to create" in the Town Hall of Mazarrón from 17:30, while Port City Library will host the conference "Why do we read?"

which will be borne by the actress and theater director Mazarron Maria Angeles Rodriguez, once the end of the meeting with Ana Cristina Herreros.

All these activities, like the rest that make up the program, are free.

Storytelling, cuentatíteres, poetry readings, craft workshops and an introduction to origami, children's films and even a concert of singing bowls make up the program to develop the 19, 22, 23, 24, 25 and April 26.

In addition, there are two competitions summoned.

One drawing for children between 3 and 6 years, and one of storytelling for youth ages 7 to 14 years, on the one hand, and for adults, on the other.

The bases of these contests, which include attractive prizes are available on the municipal website www.mazarron.es.

Also during April bookstores "Navarro", "Dola", "Main Street" and "Carlin The Queen" will offer a 10% discount upon purchase of any book in its stores on the occasion of this celebration.

Of these purchases, May 10 will be a draw in the town hall of a bond for the purchase of books worth 60 euros.

An award in which the Department of Culture participates.
