Mazarrón is thrilled with his solemn procession of the Holy Burial (30/03/2013)

Once again the Holy Burial Procession of Mazarrón ran late on Friday, the streets of the town with dozens of locals and tourists who watched the procession with immense concentration, comprising a total of 6 steps among whom were some of the most beautiful Easter processions in Mazarron.

The procession took place quite normally and with great solemnity, one aspect that best characterize Mazarrón parades.

Opened the procession, as is traditional, the standard of the Cabildo of Holy Week Brotherhoods of Mazarrón to following the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus of Nazareth, whose brothers dressed entirely in purple, and last night the street drew the beautiful sculpture of Christ the Tabernacle, accompanied by the band of bugles and drums of that brotherhood.

Behind him, the brotherhood of San Juan, with white robe and cape, hood and turquoise sash, procesionaba with the image of La Piedad, whose throne was beautifully decorated with flowers in pinks.

Then again paraded the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus whose members wore the purple tunic own this group but with cape, hood and gold sash this time.

The brothers, and some "Manolas" in front of the throne, next to La Virgen procesionaban Cross carrying in their hands the crown of thorns and the nails with which Christ was crucified on the cross, now empty.

Behind her came the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre, with its titular image, parading in the garb incarnate but with black sash in mourning for the death of Jesus.

The throne of the Holy Sepulchre is one of the most beautiful Easter Mazarrón and there are many stories about him, including that of when he hid in a haystack step to prevent was destroyed in the war.

Lying Christ's body rests in a niche of gold that shines with the light of candles and awe to those who see her beauty parade and solemnity.

Who also drew the street yesterday to their holders were the last two guilds that paraded on the evening of Good Friday.

First, San Juan followed the trail of the Holy Sepulchre with his fellow dressed all in white but red sash.

Behind him, the Brotherhood of Our Lady of La Soledad paraded with white robe and cape, sash and black hood.

The beautiful statue of the Virgin, standing on a wooden throne truffled beautiful flowers, excited by his gesture full of pain afflicted and taking shelter under a gorgeous black velvet robe, embroidered in silk and gold.

Behind her, in the chair this time marched the priest of the parish of St. Andrew the Apostle and St. Anthony of Padua, Julio Romero, who was accompanied by representatives of the four guilds Easter Mazarron.

Behind them, the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, closed the procession accompanied by the Deputy Mayor for Urban Development, Francisco Garcia, Councilmembers Mary Celeste Soria, Magdalena Mendez, Andres Juan Valera and Miguel Munoz of the government team, and Alicia Jimenez, Yolanda Vivancos and Jose Antonio Román de opposition.

After the procession, and as is tradition in the town, the Reclining Christ Holy Sepulcher was transferred to the church of San Andrés accompanied by the Virgin of La Soledad.

Once in the temple, he proceeded to Christ's wake.

The image of Jesus is lowered from its cradle of gold and, after covering it with a sheet, Mazarron Christ pass before kissing her feet and showing their respect and faith to the figure of the Savior who gave his life to show the way of life and resurrection.
