This past Saturday, the local board of Mazarrón of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) set up a booth at the Plaza del Convento to inform citizens of the activities and initiatives that are taking place in the town.
The association of Mazarrón received view of the Councillor for Social Policy, Maria Martinez, the mayor of Rural Development, Magdalena Mendez, and also the councilor in opposition, Alicia Jimenez.
The booth was installed to mark the World Day Against Cancer held on Monday 4 February.
The president of the local board of Mazarrón, Luisa María Heredia, explained that "we are undertaking various initiatives to support people suffering from this disease in Mazarrón and we will also launch a series of activities to which citizens can freely join the municipality. "
In this sense, the AECC in Mazarrón is hosting a photography workshop and also a reiki workshop.
The association also has a psychologist to help people who have been diagnosed with this disease and their families.

You can also buy from the local board of Mazarrón tickets for the XIX Bullfighting Festival in aid of the AECC to be held in Murcia bullring on Sunday 24 February.
Councillor for Social Policy, Maria Martinez, showed their support on behalf of the City, the partnership, and spoke with the president to jointly undertake initiatives to help people suffering from this disease Mazarrón.
Also the mayor explained that "we will explore ways to support the AECC in Mazarrón to promote prevention among the residents of the municipality."
