The Pensioners Club thanked the municipality of Mazarrón support (24/01/2013)

This past Sunday, Pensioners Club of Mazarrón held its Annual General Meeting for the year 2012.

It was attended by 257 members and was attended by Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, President of the Club, Juan Perez, the Councillor for Social Policy, Maria Martinez, and the mayor Juan Miguel Muñoz, who is also a member of the board of Club.

During the Assembly proceeded to read the minutes of the previous year, which was approved unanimously, and realized activities during the past year as trips, parties, theater, dancing, bingo and recreational services provided from the Club as fitness, yoga, canteen, Reiki workshop, games, ladies and gents hairdressing at special prices for members and partners, and local newspapers, etc..

In economic management explained the income subsidy received from the City of Mazarrón and expenditures in the last year, resulting in a surplus of 620 euros.

In high and low was reported that in 2012 there have been 24 new partners high and 6 low.

Both for new members, and those who have been removed, requested welcoming applause for some and farewell to others.

Among the surveys were conducted, one of which was the municipality of Mazarrón for supporting the Club captured in two plates that were given as souvenirs to the Mayor, Ginés Campillo, responsible and Social Policy of the consistory, Maria Martinez.

Plaques were also awarded to the partner and the older partner, Rosa Muñoz and Angel Blaya respectively.

They are Matthew Roman, who holds the position of vice president, Juan Miguel Calvo, secretary, Juan Miguel Muñoz, treasurer and Maria Francisca Gomez, Vocal.

The Mayor, Ginés Campillo, closed the Assembly with a few words of encouragement to members.

The mayor has said "the important value that older people have in society and in our town, participating actively in the events that are scheduled and promoting others, from the council, will continue to support to improve the quality of life for our seniors."

Finally, the participants shared a dinner and dance later, closing the evening with an exciting bingo where numerous awards were handed out.
