Fotobelmar.com makes available to citizens and researchers images and publications on the history of Mazarrón (18/10/2012)

Yesterday night was held at the People's University of Mazarrón (UPM) presenting www.fotobelmar.com web page that has been created by photographer Juan Francisco Belmar Gonzalez Mazarron.

The presentation was attended by the Councillor for New Technologies, Matilde Blázquez, the mayor of Citizen Participation, David Fernandez and the director of the UPM, Ballesta Mead, who conducted the presentation of the architect of the new website .

The website is divided into two main sections containing a section of photographs of Belmar, left, and a series of publications on the history of Mazarrón, right.

As explained by the director of the People's University, "is necessary to emphasize the historical and ethnographic having this website where we can find publications that can be freely consulted by all those concerned."

In this connection there was also the mayor of New Technologies stressing that "we are facing a new tool for the dissemination of the culture and history of the town that will be very useful for students and researchers."

Juan Francisco Belmar, who was surrounded by family and friends at the launch, said: "I tried to make a simple page to be practical and useful."

The portal contains, in addition to historical and ethnographic documents, the own personal evolution and learning of the author.

Belmar commented that, within this path, "the turning point of my career as a photographer is IXZUS exposure, on the occasion of the celebration of the Nazarene is held in Mazarrón in 2008."

All those who come to soak in fotobelmar.com will find more than 100 works among which the three editions of the magazine litany that "confeccionábamos using traditional in my house, photocopying and folding each of your pages with a bottle" revealed photographer.
