Mazarrón live intensely the celebration of Corpus Christi (11/06/2012)

Yesterday, the town celebrated with intensity the feast of Corpus Christi in Mazarron is commemorated with several events that take place in the hamlet of La Atalaya and in the towns of Mazarron and Puerto.

In The Watchtower took place at 12 noon Mass rociera framed within celebrations of the parish that included the performance of the group of Seville "Aires de Mazarron."

The office was attended by the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, and the Selectmen Maria Martinez, Isidro Maria Coy and Miguel Garcia.

Also held a Mass in honor of Corpus Christi in the church of San Andrés de Mazarron where, once the job is done the traditional procession through the main streets of the town.

The procession opened the Banda de Mazarron Drums and Bugles of which were children this year have made their first communion and were accompanied by their parents and family.

They were deposited petals and bouquets of flowers at different altars installed along the route and where the Blessed Sacrament carried out their respective stalls.

Then marched the processional cross and candlesticks flanked by the flags of the 4 guilds that make up the council of Holy Week Brotherhoods of Mazarron.

The Blessed Sacrament, carried in the custody, marched under a canopy after the monks who presided over the procession to the parish priest of the parish of San Antonio de Padua and San Andres, Julio Romero, at the head.

Also participating in the parade the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, the first deputy mayor, Francisco Garcia, and the Councillor for Agriculture and Rural Development, Magdalena Mendez, representing the City.

The church of San José in Puerto de Mazarron also hosted the celebration of a Mass in honor of Corpus.

After the same, the transition from custody who carries the Body of Christ marched, with the children who had made their first communion and a large number of faithful, through the main streets of the seaside resort.

After chairing the procession marched throne the parish priest of San Jose, Justo Jose Sanchez, who was accompanied by the councilors of Celebration, Trade and Consumer Affairs, Isidro Coy, and management of urban amenities, Juan Miguel Muñoz.
