The garden of the popular district of San Isidro de Puerto de Mazarron has again become, once again, the meeting point for neighbors, family and friends since Friday are being quoted in this place to participate and enjoy the celebrations in honor of the patron saint of farmers.
It is, possibly, the feasts of the municipality in the most convivial moments occur and that more mobilized Mazarron and visitors.
The acts of this year began last Friday when the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, ignited the fireworks start of the festivities accompanied by the Councillor of Celebration, Isidro Coy.
The smell of gunpowder gave way to the parade with the participation of the group of "Majorettes in the neighborhood of San Isidro" and the "Gang of drums of San Jose."
This opening was attended by the candidates and candidates for Miss and Mister Fabulous 2012.
At night, the neighbor Francisco Garcia Vivancos, better known as Paco "Minister" and his wife Elizabeth received a Bachelor Jimenez warm tribute on the part of the Celebration Committee.
Francisco Garcia was one of the precursors of block parties and in the beginning was in charge of organizing the popular games such as racing and the game tape of the pot, among others.
This tribute has caused these games to be held again this year on Saturday May 19th starting at 6pm.
Music has been one of the issues highlighted during these early days of celebration.
The "Trio Jam" premiered on stage distilling quality and encouraging those present to inaugurate the celebrations in style, while "The Luisos" returned to lead to a revolution of joy and fun that was applauded by hundreds of people, many of them faithful followers who accompany each of their performances.
On Sunday evening the choir "Rociero Dream" made them to move the wheels of the flamenco dresses and people from enjoying the "art rociero" in its purest form.
Just on Sunday was the day that the spirit of cohabitation became more evident with the conclusion of a meal attended by neighbors, associations, districts and visitors with a giant paella tasted that the Festival Committee wanted to give all those who, by their presence and collaboration, get bigger these days of celebration.
Neighborhoods and districts of the municipality received a gift that day by the Commission as a sign of mutual support and unity.
Monday was the day of the smaller ones, besides enjoying a refreshing lemonade, could participate in the election of Miss and Mr. Children.
The crown went to Miss Child Nuria Santiago, while the title of Mister was placed in the hands of Ruben Muñoz.
All children who had dressed for the occasion, received a detail by the Festival Committee.
Today, the day of San Isidro, will take place after the Mass and procession with the saint's image starting at 8 pm.
The music will make this night the local group "The Slummin Angel's" from the 10-thirty in the evening.
