The AXIS project teaches young people to become great entrepreneurs (08/05/2012)

This morning the IES "Hellin Antonio Costa" Puerto de Mazarron has hosted a conference of the Institute of Development in the Region of Murcia (INFO) in which several students of that center and IES "Philip II" have presented their cooperative projects framed in the "STEM" (European Young Enterprise).

The event was attended by the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, who has been accompanied by the heads of the two institutes, Carlos Corvalan and Andrew Piña.

This initiative is driven from the councils of Universities, Business and Research and Education, Training and Employment and is framed within the "Plan We undertake".

The activity is carried out through different subjects taught in schools in the region and aims to promote entrepreneurial culture among students by teaching them how to create a company and how it works.

During the activity, students make up their own cooperative enterprise around which perform tasks such as choice of the governing council, defining its corporate image and development of its statutes.

The students also designed a product catalog that Will Bid to its clients, seeking funding and import and export products from other cooperative centers of this style of the rest of Spain or abroad.

In this sense, the IES "Hellin Antonio Costa" has created the company "My Dreams" which is composed of students of 4th ESO and is dedicated to the development of gifts that have been sold not only in the center, but also in medieval market installed for the festival of San Jose.

For his part, "Philip II" has launched the company "Almajoin" which is also composed of students from 4 th ESO

The Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, has written to educate students s and s' have been passed on the importance of using activities like this.

All companies created during the school year will for its products in a regional market to be held on May 31 at Freedom Avenue in the city of Murcia.
