Inauguration of the exhibition "Homage to Mazarron" in the Social Center of Greater Port of Mazarron (23/11/2011)

This morning the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, accompanied by the Director General of Instituto Murciano Senior Social Action (IMAS), Enrique Perez Abellan, have cut the ribbon for the exhibition "Homage to Mazarron" until the next 28 November can be accessed at the facilities of the Senior Community Center Puerto de Mazarron.

The opening of the sample also had the presence of the Councillor for Social Policy, Equality and Health, Maria Martinez, the director of that center, Alfonso Cifuentes, and the president of the Citizens' Participation, Paquita Ramos.

Perez Abellan has highlighted the good understanding between the regional administration and the municipality of Mazarron to push through social initiatives in the municipality, and Campillo Ginés thanked the willingness of the session to work together on this.

In his speech, the CEO pointed out aspects of the past of the town "that you can recall in this exhibition thanks to the contributions they have made the most of this center."

The Mayor, Ginés Campillo, for his part thanked the Autonomous Region taking into account the needs of Mazarron and congratulated everyone over "for his involvement not only in this exhibition, but in all activities undertaken weekly ".

Campillo has also highlighted the work of Maria Martinez councilor and director Alfonso Cifuentes, who "with their work and effort are getting our beloved seniors have the attention they deserve."

This is the second time that Enrique Perez Abellan visit in just over a week, Senior Center Puerto de Mazarron.

The previous visit was made by the chief executive on Tuesday to meet for the first time the center's facilities and attend the "Evening Reef" held on his nineteenth birthday.

On that occasion he was received by Council and Andrew Coy Isidro Valera, alongside Cifuentes, toured the facility and made a charming visit to the elderly who depend on the Day Centre

Activities continue to celebrate this anniversary at 4 pm today with the screening of the film "Nim's Island," an adventure for all ages on a tropical island to serve as a prelude to an intergenerational activity for children and adults .

On Friday 25 is the day of the theater.

At 6 pm the "Sunrise Group" theatrical set belonging to the Centre will stage the play "Tribute to the wine."

The next day, Saturday 26, there will be another dance more with the performance of "Paco" and that a new lottery will be familiar.

On Monday 28 there is scheduled a trip to Eagles and Tuesday 29 acts will travel to the Center for Senior Residence "La Purisima" Mazarron where, beginning at 5 pm, the choir perform "Bay of Mazarron" .

The finishing touch to this comprehensive program will put a photo exhibition which opens on Sunday December 4 at 5 and a half in the afternoon.

The exhibition, entitled "A lifetime," picks up more than 50 snapshots in which can be seen different crafts and professions that have been captured by photographers Juan Francisco and Maria Dolores Olivo Belmar over an entire year's work.
