Light of cities and delicate details in the Town Hall (08/09/2011)

The building of the town hall of Mazarrón from tomorrow hosts a new exhibition of painting which, this time coming from the hands of two foreign artists.

Tina Watts (UK) and Ans van der Linden (Netherlands) are the two painters color that will fill the exhibition space of the landmark building.

The exhibition opens tomorrow at 8 pm and can be contemplated until October 7 Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, and Thursdays and Fridays from 5-8 pm.

Tina Watss studied "Arts and Technology" at the University of Yeovil and Somerset College in the UK, and since then his life has been linked to the art world.

Later, he worked for Fleet Air Arm Museum designing exhibitions, as well as illustrations and graphics.

This work earned him to go to work Standars Forms, a company dedicated to designing forms for the motor industry with clients such as Ford, Renault and Volvo.

Watts now lives in Mazarrón.

Came here 13 years ago and has since exhibited in Camposol and Bolnuevo, in addition to those held in his native England, particularly in the counties of Somerset and Southampton.

Although his work focuses mainly on watercolors of landscapes are distinguished by the care of small details, is now also working on the acrylic.

His presentation is titled "It's in the detail."

For its part, Ans van der Linden is a Dutch artist who has been in Murcia over 7 years and presents the exhibition "The Colours of Light."

Linden began painting watercolors, but moved to Spain switched to acrylics and now manages the spatula and brush with great skill.

The streets and squares of Europe are its main sources of inspiration, hence their exposure take a trip to different cities like Madrid, Cordoba and Venice, among many others.

Linden, who also lived 7 years in the UK, has been cover of "Paint," a newsletter of the "Society for All Artists" of that country.

The artist has said about his statement that "in my pictures I used colors to represent light. I hope people find them closer to the truth of light."

Soroya Linden thus paraphrased as saying "the painters can never reproduce the sunlight as it really is ... I only get closer to the truth."
