Beaches and cleaner streets thanks to all (08/08/2011)

The City of Mazarrón, along with the Red Cross and Red Cross Youth of the municipality and the cooperation of hotel "Balneario de Mazarrón - Sensol" have begun with the public awareness campaign to preserve the environment through the care of the beaches, gardens and town streets.

On Saturday the young Red Cross, accompanied by the Councillor for Environment and Citizen Participation, David Fernandez, began the distribution of cone-ashtray on the beaches of Bahia and La Reya.

These cones are supplied with a brochure which asks not to waste and litter thrown into the street, no trimmings are placed in the containers, remove the animal droppings from sidewalks and do not leave baits or hooks in designated areas for fishing.

Also remembered in the brochure colors recycling containers, the time to deposit the waste (from 9 o'clock at night) and that containers can not move the place that puts the session.

The deal continues this afternoon on the beaches of La Pava, Nares and El Castellar hands of Red Cross Youth, who is also conducting a campaign of its own entitled "Love yourself this summer a lot."

Through this initiative are giving advice to tourists and locals to educate the public on safety.

Young delivered leaflets with tips related to sun safety, skin, water, the use of inflatable objects or to an accident at pools and beaches.

Also, the session approved a mayoral camp which is asking the cooperation of citizens in the line of preserving the environment that makes this awareness campaign.

One aspect that should be noted that the side is called on residents not to leave bulky waste on the street remains of furniture and appliances.

If someone needs to get rid of some residue of this type can call 968 333 294 for the municipal corporation to take care of them.

If, on the contrary, citizens decide them down the street can be sanctioned.

They can also be punished with fines of between 500 and 12,000 euros, the neighbors who have solar and we have them clean and conditioned.

The mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, is confident that "anybody should be fined, but every one of the locals and tourists to participate conscientiously in this new future we are building for Mazarrón".
