The San Cayetano Corners worship this week (01/08/2011)

This Thursday starts the events planned to mark the feast day of San Cayetano, patron of the corners.

Starting at 7 pm Mass will be held in honor of the saint in the church of La Purisima de Mazarrón, and then move the image of San Cayetano in procession to the hamlet.

On Friday, from 9 and half the night, will be the cry of the festivities this year will be borne by Andrés Navarro Aznar and the crowning of the queens.

There are also scheduled performance of "Trio Yomagen," a raffle with gifts and a piñata for children with free toys.

On Saturday, events begin at 6 pm with a ribbon race horse, after which there will be a beauty contest the rooster camper.

San Cayetano was an Italian priest who was born with the name of Gaetano Thiene Vicenza di (northern Italy) in October 1480 and died in Naples on August 7, 1547, her feast day.

Gaetano Thiene was beatified on October 8, 1629 by Pope Urban VIII and canonized on April 12, 1671 by Pope Clement X.
