The twenty-seventh edition of "Story Contest Villa de Mazarrón - Antonio del Olmo Segado 'has been an interest of more than 1,600 works that have already been entered into the competition, these works come from around the world.
The high turnout was a high percentage split between Europe and the country.
Sixty percent of papers received from various parts of the country among them, by volume of participation, provinces like Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.
The rest of the work is split between Europe and the rest of the world, which has a growing involvement in the overall context of the event, taking greater role in this respect the Spanish-speaking countries.
After the initial selection of originals, which is now nearing completion and once the reading of papers received, the phases remaining in the competition are the selection of the 12 finalists and the final decision of the jury, after which will be held the awards ceremony, scheduled for July 29.
The 'Villa de Mazarrón - Antonio del Olmo Mowing' is organized by the Universidad Popular de Mazarron and Mazarron Town Hall and is equipped with a first prize of 3,600 € and a second prize of 2,400 €.
