The Department of Celebrations of the Municipality of Mazarrón has wanted to pay tribute in the present Festivities to the Group of Choirs and Dances "La Purisima", founded in 1983 under the Association of Arts and Popular Traditions "La Purisima" of Mazarrón.

The group had extensive local and regional activity during the 80s and 90s.

Concepción Yepes, one of its directors, participated in the event that took place this Tuesday at the Los Rincones Fairgrounds.

The mayor, Alicia Jiménez, recalled the trajectory of a group that represented Mazarrón in Fitur or the Seville Expo in 1992. The screening of a video served to let the younger generation know about the activity of this group.
