From 17 to 19 June Mazarrón will be a meeting point for fans and professionals of the short film world.
During that weekend will take place the III Film Survival Contest organized by Filmurray in collaboration with the City of Mazarrón.
The event was presented Wednesday by the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Martínez, in the company of Miguel Morales and Marta Carrasco, both responsible for an activity aimed at the dissemination of film culture.
Pedro Martínez highlighted the success achieved in 2016 and has encouraged the participation of an event that is completed with an agenda of activities that, this time, will incorporate the work resulting from the cinematography workshops that he teaches since the beginning of the year in Mazarrón The director, Benito Rabal.
The contest will begin on Friday, June 17th with the reception of the participating groups.
Registration can be done at www.supervivenciafilmica.net.
The price is 70 euros for a maximum of 20 groups.
After the reception, the draw of a cinematographic genre, a location of the municipality and a surprise element that must include in the making of the short film.
From there they will have 45 hours to present the final work on Sunday June 19.
The contest includes three cash prizes.
The short winner will receive a prize of 1,000 euros and there will be a second prize of 500 euros and another special prize of 500 euros in which the best use of a location of the municipality will be valued.
This year, the complementary activities agenda will begin on Friday, June 17 with the performance of the Canaras theater group Mazarron and its interpretation of the work of García Lorca "La zapatera prodigiosa".
On Saturday the 18th there will be a workshop of "slow motion" and the short films will be screened in the workshops directed by Benito Rabal.
Finally, on Sunday, June 19, the short films presented to the competition will be screened and during the deliberation of the jury the group "Tarantino Experience" will perform.
