The waters of the Bay of Mazarrón will host on 14 and 15 May a new edition of the regatta organized by the Yacht Club and the City of Mazarrón.
It is a scoring event in the regional calendar Sailing Federation for which they have already confirmed their presence more than 200 sailors.
The competition was presented Thursday by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez and the president of Club de Regatas, José Hernández, in the presence of club officials and the Councillor for Sports, Patricio Sánchez charges.
For this event the participation of fifty cruise ships coming mostly from the Murcia region is expected, but also of the Andalusian and Valencian communities.
Some of these boats will be later in the King's Cup to be held in Palma de Mallorca.
The tests will take place within the limits of Cabo Tiñoso and Cueva Lobos and will be visible from the coast, such as confirmed has the technical director of the competition Pedro Juan Pérez-Castejon.
The organization has completed the sports program with several entertainment acts that will encourage participants and the public who wants to live close competition.
On Saturday May 14, at 20:30, there will be a barbecue dinner with musical performance at the Yacht Club, and Sunday 15 May, prior to the awards ceremony, there will be a giant paella for all attendees.

The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, stressed that this is an opportunity to show the possibilities offered by the coast of the municipality to attract sailing competitions which thus join the dive tourism.
Creation of the Municipal Sailing School
Both the mayor, Alicia Jimenez, as the president of Club de Regatas, Jose Hernandez, confirmed the creation soon of the Municipal Sailing School with the training to youth in the municipality be encouraged in water sports.
