He is credited with the alleged authorship of crime related to the protection of flora, fauna and domestic animals, due to animal abuse

Two of the dogs were hit by numerous pellets and a third is missing

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation to clarify a case of animal abuse in Mazarrón in which three dogs of a farm were victims of the shooting of some people, which has resulted in the identification, location and investigation of two hunters, who have been instructed as alleged perpetrators of crimes related to the protection of flora, fauna and pets, for animal abuse.

The Benemérita began the proceedings at the end of last October, when a citizen denounced that three dogs he had in his farm in Mazarrón had suffered injuries by firearms, apparently by several people who were practicing the hunting sport of The hunt.

Civil guards of the Nature Protection Service took charge of the investigation in order to clarify the facts and identify their authors.

The first inquiries made it possible to verify that two of the dogs owned by the complainant had suffered injuries after being hit by leads from hunting cartridges, as noted in the veterinary and radiological report, in large part of his body.

Apparently, there was a third dog that is still missing and it is presumed that it could also have been hit by the shots.

As a result of the operation, the Civil Guard was able to identify two people, fans of hunting hunting, who are allegedly after the authorship of the facts investigated and who, after obtaining all the necessary evidence, have been investigated.

Those investigated, who have been instructed as alleged perpetrators of crimes related to the protection of flora, fauna and domestic animals, for animal abuse, along with the proceedings, have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Totana (Murcia).

Campaign against abuse and neglect of domestic animals #YoSiPuedoContarlo

With the main objective of raising public awareness to promote the necessary measures in the protection, management and welfare of domestic animals, as well as to denounce those behaviors contrary to the animal welfare of which they are aware, the Civil Guard began in July 2017 campaign #YoSiPuedoContarlo.

The Civil Guard has been detecting an increase in public awareness, not only through formal complaints, but also among users of social networks, as evidenced by the fact that one of the issues that generate more interaction in our Twitter followers and Facebook is the request for citizen collaboration to clarify crimes of mistreatment of animals.

The second objective of this campaign is to make the population aware that having an animal is a great responsibility and that animal abandonment is punishable by the current Criminal Code.
