The "SEAMAN Challenge" returns for the third year to Mazarrón this Sunday, September 15 (10/09/2019)

This Sunday, September 15, the waters of Bolnuevo beach and its coves will be the scene of the 'SEAMAN Challenge', an open water swimming sports event that celebrates its third edition in the municipality from 9:30 a.m. .

The appointment was presented by the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, the Councilor for Sports, Francisco José García, and the representatives of the Murcia Master Swimming Club that organizes the test, José Luis Line and María José Montesinos.

The mayor of Sports explained that "there will be two tests, one of 6 kilometers from Bolnuevo through Bahía de Lobos, Cala Leño, Isla de Lobos and Bolnuevo; and another 2 kilometers from Bolnuevo to Bahía de Lobos and return" and stressed that , although all athletes who wish to participate can participate in this event, "it corresponds to the seventeenth stage of the Spanish Open Water League", which allows swimmers who register freely to participate together with the best athletes of this modality.

José Luis Línea thanked the City Council for its commitment and support with this test because "one of the aspects that most pleased was the landscape and natural environment, obtaining the Mazarrón test the highest score in the forms submitted by the Spanish Open Water League" commented Line who remarked that "in the 6-kilometer race both amateur swimmers and the Spanish Cup participate, while the 2'5 race is the most advisable to start in the open water modality".

On the other hand, María José Montesinos reiterated the thanks to the City Council of Mazarrón and stressed that "it is an international event with the luck of being held in waters and surroundings with a wonderful charm. An appointment that grows every year with a greater number of participants and I hope we can hold more tests next years here. "

From the Murcia Master Swimming Club they have confirmed that there are already 147 registered, of which 67 are from the Spanish Cup, and the registrations are still open until Thursday at www.crono3.es.
