Yesterday they began with a large influx of audiences, as is usual in Majada, the big holidays of the village that had a magnificent start thanks to the sensational proclamation that the neighbor and psychologist of the Department of Equality of the City Council of Mazarrón, Rosa Jorquera, offered to neighbors and visitors.
Jorquera recalled her origins, her childhood and how she was chosen as the bridesmaid of the parties in 1970, showing even the band that was imposed on her for the occasion and that she keeps with love.
The proclamation was closely followed by the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, the councilor of Festejos, Miguel Ángel Peña, and other members of the municipal corporation attending the event.
All of them participated in the delivery of trophies and bands to the Queen of the festivities, an honor that has fallen to Juanita Aznar, Miss Majada, who this year has been Ana Méndez, and Mister Majada, recognition given to Ginés Salas.

Today, Friday 6, the events begin at 9:30 at night with the inauguration of an exhibition of crafts and various crafts by the women of La Majada, which will be followed by the VI Dance Festival with the participation of schools of dance 'Juan Antonio Iglesias' and 'De Rosa'.
The night will close with the best music by the "resident" DJ Little Nookie.
On Saturday, September 7, from 12.45 pm, a snack will be held in which you can taste ham and cheese offered by the restaurant 'La Inesperada', while the festival commission will provide potatoes cooked with garlic.
Already at night, starting at 10, the great costume dance will take place that will be enlivened by the performance of the musical group 'It's never too late', artist Damián Ros and Dj Little Nookie.
It will also be the night that the popular piñata is celebrated with a lot of prizes and the election of Miss and Mister Visitor.
September 8 is the patron's day and, after falling on Sunday, the mass and subsequent procession with the image of La Purisima will be celebrated from 11:30 in the morning.
At 2 in the afternoon you will taste a huge giant paella that, as usual, are made by the usual friends of Puntas de Calnegre.
At 4 in the afternoon there will be a run of ribbons on horseback and an hour and a half later the performance of the artist 'David Andreu' will take place.
The day, and the celebrations, will end with the tasting of the traditional chocolate pestiños.
