More than 500 people will attend in the pavilion of the CEIP Miguel Delibes to the relay of Agustín Navarrete at the head of the association.

Previously, they will visit places of municipal interest such as the Interpretation Center of the Phoenician Ship, the Roman Factory or the Marina.

The regional delegation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) celebrates its annual assembly in Mazarrón next Sunday.

The municipality will host a meeting that will gather more than half a thousand people.

The event was presented by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and by the president of the Local Board of the AECC, Luisa María Heredia.

At 9:30 a.m. Sunday is scheduled to begin a day that will have as main acts the reception in the Plenary Hall of Town Halls to the presidents of the local boards of the 45 municipalities and the development of the assembly in the pavilion of the CEIP Miguel Delibes of Puerto de Mazarrón from approximately 1:00 pm.

In this assembly there will be the relief of Agustín Navarrete at the head of the regional association that will be succeeded by Manuel Molina.

Previously the majority of members of the different local associations of the Region will have the opportunity to know the municipality visiting places like the Center of Interpretation of the Phoenician Ship, the Roman Factory of Salazones or the Sport Port.

The mayor remarked "the importance of an event of great regional projection and in which Mazarrón will have the opportunity to show its hospitality".

Also, Alicia Jiménez has highlighted the work that has been done throughout the year both the board and all the volunteers of the Local Board in the development of a broad agenda of activities that serve to raise funds for the welfare of patients, measures of prevention and scientific research support ".

The presentation in municipal offices has also counted with the presence of Tomás Ureña, member of the board of the Local Board of the AECC.
